Overview

Description

An arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) prevents fires by detecting unintended arcs created by current flowing through an unplanned path. This system provides a design for residential AFCI circuit breakers. It monitors line currents at 100KHz looking for noise characteristics known to be associated with arcing. The Wi-Fi module is used to integrate with any smart home system.
