RL78/F14 微控制器定位为 RL78 系列的上层产品，提供 30 至 100 引脚、48 至 256KB 闪存系列，可实现业界领先的低消耗电流水平。 该器件内置了用于汽车接口的内置 CAN 模块和 LIN 模块，可利用 RL78/F14 的功能安全特性、定时器 RD、比较器和 D/A 转换器支持 BLDC 电机控制。 因为可以构建高度可靠的系统，所以这些微控制器可用于工业应用及汽车应用。
