AI Navigator simplifies the process of developing and running AI applications within the e2 Studio integrated development environment.

AI Navigator provides simple GUI operations for navigating through the development of AI applications to run on Renesas devices and supports the development of AI applications that make full use of Renesas devices through the shortest procedures.
This tool also provides guidance on downloading and installing toolchains for use in the development of AI applications. Accordingly, you can easily construct a development environment for AI applications by installing this plugin into e2 studio.
You can import a variety of sample AI applications and sample AI models from AI Application Zoo that Renesas provides. The sample AI applications also contain executable AI models for the target devices, so you can easily try AI applications on the evaluation board.
The executable AI models have been released as open source. If you find an AI model that suits your purpose, you can also use it with your applications and thus shorten the periods for the development of AI models.
Some AI models in the sample AI applications can be customized with the use of datasets prepared by the user using the transfer learning feature that the AI Navigator provides.
You can tune the AI models which have already been designed and learned to suit your purposes, thus shortening the design processes and learning times for AI models.
This feature is also recommended for beginners in the development of AI models who are familiar with the use of this plugin environment in the development of AI applications and want to create new AI models.
The sample AI models in the AI applications are provided as executable files which have been optimized for Renesas devices, providing you with an easy way to experience high-performance AI processing.
For devices of the RZ/V series, which are currently supported as the target MCUs, the AI models are converted into an executable format*1 that takes advantage of the DRP-AI hardware AI accelerator. This implements AI processing performance which is not achievable with normal embedded software.
The conversion tool provided with this plugin is capable of converting AI models which have been customized by transfer learning into an executable format that is optimized for the given target device.
