Zaher is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Power Product Group at Renesas Electronics Corporation, a role he assumed in July 2025. He is responsible for overseeing the company’s power management and discrete product portfolios and for driving the execution of Renesas’ global power strategy.
Prior to this role, Zaher served as Vice President of the Timing Division, Analog & Connectivity, beginning in April 2022. Earlier, he led the Timing Division’s Design team as Senior Director of Engineering, where he was instrumental in advancing Renesas’ position as the market leader in silicon timing solutions.
Before joining Renesas, Zaher joined the Timing Division at IDT 13 years ago, where he established and scaled the Timing Design Group in Ottawa, Canada. His technical leadership and strategic direction contributed to the successful development and delivery of numerous industry-leading timing products.
He began his semiconductor career at Zarlink Semiconductor, where he held several technical roles across VDSL, Audio DSP, and Timing. In timing, he led multiple synchronization technology developments.
With over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, Zaher is recognized for his technical expertise, leadership, and innovation. He holds a Master of Science in Microelectronics Systems Design and a Ph.D. from the University of Southampton, UK. He holds multiple patents and publications.
