Renesas today provided its third update on the status of the Kawashiri Factory (Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture) and Nishiki Factory (Kuma District, Kumamoto Prefecture) following the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake that occurred on July 28.
At the Nishiki Factory, production resumed in phases beginning on the evening of July 29 and returned to pre-earthquake production capacity this morning.
At the Kawashiri Factory, production is scheduled to resume in phases beginning on August 5. Following the restart of production, Renesas aims to restore pre-earthquake production capacity (wafer input capacity) within approximately three weeks.
