Renesas today provided its fourth update on the status of the Kawashiri Factory (Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture) following the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake that occurred on July 28.
At the Kawashiri Factory, production had previously been scheduled to resume in phases on August 5. Ahead of schedule, phased production resumed today. Renesas continues to target restoring pre-earthquake production capacity (wafer input capacity) within approximately three weeks of the production restart.
