Received “AA” MSCI ESG Rating
For the first time, Renesas received an “AA” ESG rating from Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI). AA is the second highest rating given by MSCI ESG Research, a global provider of in-depth research, ratings and analysis of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) related business practices (announced on January 27, 2023).
MSCI ESG Research assesses and rates global public and a few private companies on a scale of AAA (leader) to CCC (laggard), according to exposure to industry-specific ESG risks and the ability to manage those risks relative to peers. Since the official launch of the Sustainability Promotion Office in 2020, Renesas has made significant progress on the MSCI ESG Rating with a score improving from B (2020) to BBB (2021) to AA (2022).

Triple ESG Index Inclusion by FTSE Russell
For three consecutive years, Renesas has been included in three indices, “FTSE4Good Index Series,” “FTSE Blossom Japan Index,” and “FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index” for our outstanding Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices (Originally announced on September 16, 2022).
The three indices are provided by FTSE Russell, a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange Group, and used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products. The FTSE Blossom Japan Index and FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index are adopted as benchmarks of ESG passive funds by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), one of the world’s largest pension funds.

Received the highest “Gold” rating for PRIDE Index 2024 for three consecutive years
Renesas has been awarded the highest "Gold" rating in the Pride Index 2024 for three consecutive years (2022-2024). The index, established by work with Pride in in 2016, evaluates workplace initiatives for LGBTQ+ and other sexual minorities at corporations and organizations in Japan.
We continue to expand our LGBTQ+ initiatives by a variety of programs and events. We reinforced a non-discriminatory benefits policy and provided educational programs and harassment prevention for all employees globally. Most recently, we celebrated the Diversity Awareness Month in October and hosted multiple events that focused on unconscious biases and gender stereotypes in the workplace as well as physical and mental well-being. Renesas also founded the “Renesas Pride” employee resources group that offers support and networking opportunities for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies.
Selected as a member of the MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index
In June 2021, Renesas became a member of the MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index, established by MCSI, an index made up of diverse companies, for the first time. The MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index was created to support institutional investors looking for exposure of companies promoting gender diversity and is made up of the top 700 Japanese companies by market capitalization.

Renesas has earned regard externally for its environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives around the world.
Selected as a member of the SNAM Sustainability Index
Renesas became a member of the SNAM Sustainability Index, established by Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SNAM). The SNAM Sustainability Index is managed with a long-term perspective for pension funds and institutional investors who invest broadly in companies with strong ESG ratings. Every year, approximately 300 stocks achieve an excellent ESG rating.
Environment
Recognized as a CDP 2024 Supplier Engagement Leader
Renesas was awarded the title of Supplier Engagement Leader, the highest rating in the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA), which evaluates how companies work with their suppliers to measure and reduce climate change risks.
This assessment, conducted by CDP, evaluates corporate performance in four categories of the Climate Change Questionnaire: governance, targets, Scope 3 emissions, and value chain engagement.
Renesas will continue to work with suppliers around the world to reduce CO2 emissions and environmental impact throughout the entire supply chain.

“Best Delivery” Supplier of the Year 2024 by HARMAN International
Renesas been named 2024 Supplier of the Year for the “Best Delivery” category by HARMAN, an industry-leading automotive technology company. The award recognizes Renesas’ exceptional delivery performance for automotive microcontrollers (MCUs). Renesas was one of the select companies honored with an award from HARMAN in 2024, chosen from over 150 suppliers globally. Every year, HARMAN identifies its top suppliers for their contribution to the company’s success in areas such as product excellence, logistics performance, and reliability.
2024 World Electronics Achievement Award
At the International Integrated Circuit Exhibition and Conference (IIC Shenzhen 2024) in China in November 2024, Renesas team participated in the Global CEO Summit and 2024 World Global Electronics Achievement Awards ceremony event. We received the most prestigious “Electronic Company of the Year” award for our strong technical strengths and outstanding market performance. As we continue to expand our business globally and diversify our capabilities to make our customers’ lives easier, our complete, easy-to-use development platform from hardware to software, remains in high demand in China.

Renesas’ R Car X5H SoC was named “Innovation of the Year” in the Automotive category at the prestigious Electrons d’Or Awards in Paris. This recognition highlights Renesas’ leadership in automotive innovation and its commitment to advancing solutions for next generation software-defined vehicles.
RA8P1 AI-Enabled MCU – 2025 Product of the Year (EPDT)
Renesas’ RA8P1 AI-enabled MCU was named a 2025 Product of the Year by Electronic Product Design & Test (EPDT), recognizing its innovation and performance in edge AI applications. Built on a 22 nm process, the device combines a 1 GHz Arm Cortex M85 CPU with an Ethos U55 neural processing unit (NPU), delivering over 7,300 CoreMarks and up to 256 GOPS of AI performance. This architecture enables high-performance processing for demanding edge workloads such as voice, vision, and real-time analytics.
GreenPAK Mixed-Signal Products – Panasonic ECOVC Award 2025
Renesas received the Panasonic ECOVC Award for its GreenPAK mixed-signal products, recognized for reducing component count, board space, and power consumption. The solution enabled significant system simplification, replacing multiple ICs, transistors, and passive components, supporting more efficient and sustainable electronic designs.
2025 World Electronics Achievement Award
At the International Integrated Circuit Exhibition and Seminar (IIC Shenzhen 2025) held in Shenzhen, China in November 2025, Renesas was awarded the “World Electronics Achievement Award—Innovative Product of the Year” for its RA8P1 AI microcontroller (MCU), recognized for its groundbreaking performance and extensive industry applications. As Renesas' first 32-bit MCU integrated with an AI-accelerated NPU, the RA8P1 series directly addresses key challenges in edge intelligence and real-time control, such as computing power, power consumption, and development efficiency. Its powerful localized AI processing capabilities efficiently support voice, vision, and real-time analysis scenarios, reducing reliance on the cloud. This award further affirms Renesas' ongoing commitment and global leadership in advancing efficient, secure, and easily deployable edge computing solutions.
OFweek Robot Awards
Renesas’ RZ/T2H microprocessor (MPU) has been honored with the “OFweek 2024 China Robotics Industry Core Component Innovation Product Award” in recognition of its outstanding performance. Leveraging a multi-core heterogeneous architecture and high-performance real-time control technology, the RZ/T2H can simultaneously achieve control of up to nine axes and industrial Ethernet communication, meeting the high-precision, low-latency control requirements of complex scenarios such as industrial robots, collaborative robots, and AGVs. This product supports the continuous evolution of industrial robots toward higher performance and intelligence.
Gasgoo Gazelle Award
Renesas’ RH850/U2B MCU has been awarded the “Best Technical Practice Application Award” at the 7th Gasgoo Awards in 2025, in recognition of its excellent performance in supporting automotive system design and its successful real-world implementations. This product is purpose-built for next-generation electronic and electrical architectures, integrating multiple key applications such as hybrid/EV inverters, zone control, and internet gateways onto a single chip. This helps automakers significantly reduce system complexity and BOM costs, accelerating the lightweight and platform-based development of ECUs. Currently, the product has been mass-produced and deployed at scale in core applications such as automotive power control, enabling new energy vehicle manufacturers to quickly build next-generation electronic control platforms and bring new technologies into real-world deployment at scale.
HI-TECH Talk Aurora Award
The Renesas 650V GaN FET series has been honored with the “Aurora Award – 2025 Excellent Product Award” for its outstanding product performance and reliable application results. This series is specifically designed for kilowatt-level high-power scenarios such as AI data center power supplies, electric vehicle charging, and solar inverters. To date, Renesas has shipped over 20 million GaN devices, which have accumulated more than 30 billion hours of field operation. With exceptional reliability and large-scale mass production capability, Renesas provides efficient, compact, and easily integrated power conversion solutions for rapidly growing markets such as AI computing centers, new energy charging, and photovoltaic energy storage systems.

Altium Designer and Altium 365 were both recognized as Top Rated by TrustRadius in 2025. Winners are determined based on data collected directly from customer reviews. To qualify for this award, products must have 10 or more new or updated reviews in the past 12 months, receive at least 0.5% of the traffic volume in their category, and maintain a rating of at least four stars with a trScore of 7.5 or higher.
