描述

This inverter control platform brings together advanced motor control techniques with an integrated power, drive, and sensing architecture to enable smooth and efficient operation in electrified vehicle applications. By applying optimized pulse pattern (OPP) control, motor phase currents are shaped closer to an ideal sine wave, reducing current distortion and improving efficiency, particularly at medium to high operating speeds. The coordinated interaction among control, timing, gate driving, power management, and position sensing delivers stable torque, reduced losses, and improved acoustic performance across a wide speed range. Designed to streamline system integration and shorten development cycles, this platform supports high performance, scalability, and reliability for next‑generation xEV inverter systems.

System Benefits:​

  • Higher overall system efficiency (motor × inverter), enabled by OPP control through precise PWM duty regulation, especially at medium to high speeds
  • Significantly reduced current distortion with low THDi, achieved through high‑resolution internal timing and accurate pulse switching that produces near‑ideal three‑phase sinusoidal waveforms
  • System‑level validation on a motor and inverter dynamometer showing up to +1.13% efficiency improvement and up to −23.9% THDi reduction at 40 kW/9,500 rpm/40 N·m
  • Proven performance at higher power levels, with +0.36% efficiency improvement and −10.13% THDi reduction at 90 kW/9,500 rpm/90 N·m
  • Flexible implementation supporting both TSG‑based and GTM‑based approaches, enabling design adaptability without compromising performance
