The RAJ240091 is a Renesas Li-ion battery fuel gauge IC (FGIC), which consists of an MCU device and an AFE device in a single package. It features the RL78 CPU core with multiple low-power modes, enabling high performance during ultra-low power operation.
This fuel gauge IC includes control firmware stored in embedded flash memory, which manages the operation of its analog and digital circuits. Its core functions include measuring battery voltage, current, and temperature, estimating remaining capacity, and providing protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, and excessive temperature, as well as executing other battery management operations.
